JAMES MACKENZIE IN THE COMMUNITY

James & Kate regularly fundraise for the South Dalton village hall (including the now famous annual giant Easter egg raffle), and it’s not unusual for diners arriving early to find a group of schoolchildren on the way out after spending a fun and informative morning in the gardens and kitchens.
Further afield, James has teamed up with the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School to launch the Golden Apron, the search for Yorkshire’s best young chef – the 2015 winner is currently working on a new product for sponsors Asda as a direct result.

James is currently working with Hull College as an advisor on the Yorkshire Chef Certificate scheme.
